Departments & Programs

StudentsThe College of Management’s departments and programs prepare students for responsible professional roles in business, finance, marketing, accountancy, taxation, government, health care administration and the not-for-profit field. The College comprises the Department of Finance; Department of Health Care and Public Administration; Department of Management; Department of Marketing and International Business; and the School of Professional Accountancy. Collaboratively, they deliver 23 bachelor’s, master’s, accelerated bachelor’s/master’s degrees programs as well as advanced certificates. This broad discipline area foundation gives students access to a rich assortment of topically relevant courses with the overarching mission to equip a new generation of competent and responsive managers.

The Princeton Review ranks LIU Post’s College of Management as one of the top business schools in the United States. Our business degree programs have earned the highest seal of approval – accreditation by AACSB International. The College’s Master of Public Administration program is the only degree program on Long Island accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration.

School of Professional Accountancy

Students

LIU Post was the first university in America to create a school dedicated solely to the study of accounting and taxation. The School of Professional Accountancy, founded in 1974, has graduated skilled certified public accountants, tax auditors and estate and financial planners who are employed at the Big Four accounting firms and financial companies. Practicing tax and accounting professionals stay at the top of their field through continuing education courses offered by the LIU Post Tax and Accounting Institute.
