Department of Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice StudentThe undergraduate and graduate criminal justice programs provide an ideal foundation for careers in the law and criminal justice. Our professors are renowned experts and published authors with real-world experience. They specialize in all areas of the criminal justice field, from terrorism to organized crime to women in policing.

Criminal Justice majors participate in experienced-based practica and internships that bring classroom education to life. Our alumni work in all areas related to the criminal justice system, including probation, parole, law enforcement, court administration, corrections, juvenile justice, diversionary programs and security management. Additionally, our programs provide an excellent pathway toward the study of law.

The Department offers a bachelor’s and master’s degree in criminal justice, and a five-year accelerated degree program.

Forensic Psychology Semester: George Washington University, Washington, D.C.

The Department of Criminal Justice is proud to announce an articulation agreement with George Washington University concerning Forensic Psychology. Eligible criminal justice graduate students may take forensic psychology courses in Washington, D.C. for a semester. Completed credits will be applied towards the student’s plan of study.
