Master of Science in Library and Information Science
The Master’s degree in Library and Information Science will prepare you for careers in the organization and management of information in all formats, including books, electronic data and manuscripts. Students will be prepared to begin careers as archivists, information specialists, librarians, records managers and school media specialists in all settings in the private and public sectors.
Almost all courses for the 36-credit Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science may be taken at the LIU Brentwood on Second Avenue in Brentwood, N.Y. Classes are offered at convenient evening and weekend hours, mindful of the working adult. Students are only required to take one three-credit class at LIU Post in Brookville.
Interested students will be admitted through LIU Post. Degrees are granted through LIU Post.
