Seven academic deans preside over the schools and colleges that comprise LIU Post. The deans provide academic and administrative leadership for the College of Education, Information and Technology, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Management, Palmer School of Library and Information Science, School of Health Professions and Nursing, School of Professional Accountancy, School of Visual and Performing Arts and the B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library. Drawn from the senior faculty ranks or outside professions in their field, academic deans serve a dual role, that of scholar and administrator. LIU Post’s deans serve in both academic and administrative roles and are responsible for managing their school or college. They oversee curriculum; program development; faculty hiring, development and performance; student affairs; budgetary management; and public and alumni relations. LIU Post’s deans are authors, researchers, professors and seasoned business executives.
The deans report to Long Island University’s vice president of academic affairs.
