Historic Location

Winnick HouseThe LIU Post campus is steeped in historic ambience. The property dates back to the early 1900s when it served as the home of socialites escaping from New York City to summer on Long Island’s north shore.

The park-like campus is dotted with mansions, including the Tudor-revival 59-room home at the top of the Great Lawn (Winnick House), a Colonial manor (Fine Arts Center) overlooking the Long Island Sound at the top a hilly peak, and a three-story Georgian home surrounded by woodlands (Lorber Hall.)
