Make an Impact!
In 2010, LIU Post announced the Pioneer Spirit Campaign to attract corporate, philanthropic, and alumni support as we rebuild our 4,500-seat sports stadium in Brookville, N.Y. Since its launch, the campaign has sparked Post Pride throughout our campus with more than $1.5 million raised!
Situated across three acres, the newly renovated, ultra-modern sports facility will showcase student-athletes from our NCAA Division II football, lacrosse, and field hockey teams. It will also elevate the stature of LIU Post athletics and the university at large as well as become a major attraction for prospective students deciding which university to attend. In addition, the improved stadium will serve as the hub for future athletic, alumni, and community events such as Homecoming and Family Day, barbecues, concerts, commencement, half-time shows, and, of course, action-packed home games. The renovated sports stadium is central to LIU Post’s culture, energy, and spirit, while honoring our decades-long commitment to athletic excellence and the vitality of the university.
With a projected cost of $4.5 million, the goal of the Pioneer Spirit Campaign is to raise a $1.5 million naming sponsorship and $1.5 million in donations to supplement LIU Post's investment in the facility. The theme of the campaign—“Make an Impact!"—conveys how the entire LIU Post community, including students, alumni, faculty, and staff, can contribute to this university landmark by making a donation, regardless of size. The Pioneer Spirit Campaign committee is co-chaired by alumni and LIU trustees Peter Gibson '82, Sal Naro '83 and William Nuti ’86. All donations are tax deductible and may be paid over five years.
