The success of our campers is centered on age-specific groups, highly trained and motivated staff and our wide variety of activities. At LIU Post Summer Day Camp, we provide traditional camp activities:
Arts and Crafts: Campers will create traditional handcraft projects. Computers: Classes are held in our high tech computer labs to discover internet safety and computer and program knowledge. Cooking: Campers will create fun and healthy foods in our state-of-the-art cooking lab. Dance: Campers will boogie down to the latest moves and grooves. Drama: Campers will use their imaginations to create and portray different characters and emotions. Music: Our young artists will show off their vocal and instrumental talents in our air-conditioned classroom. Nature: Campers will learn about the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, and other features and products of the earth on our scenic walking trails. Recreational Room: Campers will play “old school” board and table games for the campers to develop their critical thinking skills while engaging them in the spirit of competition. Sports: Campers will experience the thrill of competition, teamwork and sportsmanship through traditional and unique games on the campus' grassy playing fields. Swimming Campers will get to cool off in our gorgeous indoor swimming pool while also learning about water safety with the help of our professional lifeguards.
