Dr. Stacy Gropack has been selected to lead the LIU Post School of Health Professions and Nursing.  Dr. Gropack is one of the University’s longest-serving and most distinguished administrators, and came to LIU Post as acting dean in July 2015 after previously serving as Associate Dean of the LIU Brooklyn School of Health Professions.

Dr. Gropack has already worked with the LIU Post faculty to design and implement several new programs, including a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She led the development of a nationally recognized interprofessional education program at LIU Brooklyn – incorporating the School of Nursing, the College of Pharmacy and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in addition to the School of Health Professions – and was recently appointed the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions representative to the Interprofessional Education Collaborative. Dr. Gropack has also directed the accreditation efforts for two 10-year cycles for LIU Brooklyn’s nationally renowned doctoral program in Physical Therapy during her 25-year tenure. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Physical Therapy from LIU and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from New York University.

“Dr. Gropack possesses the intelligence, energy, commitment and imagination to build the School of Health Professions and Nursing into a truly great educational center known for the quality, innovation and relevance of its programs,” said Dr. Jeffrey Kane, LIU vice president for Academic Affairs. “We look forward to her contributions to LIU Post and the University as a member of LIU’s leadership team.”
