Alex Lopez of Pasadena, California knew that the bachelor’s degree in biology that he earned at a west coast university would only take him so far. A master’s degree would be necessary to advance his career.
After researching his options, Lopez found the perfect program at LIU Post. Last September, he enrolled in the M.S. in clinical laboratory science, which is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
“Looking at the courses at LIU Post, I knew that this program would put me in a position to get to the next level in a competitive field,” Lopez said.
Whether you are a recent college graduate trying to enter a new field or a seasoned professional who wishes to gain new tools to enhance your current position, LIU Post offers the quality graduate education you need. Ranked a best regional university by U.S. News and World Report, LIU Post offers a wide range of master’s and doctoral degrees in today’s fastest-growing occupations.
LIU Post has expanded its scholarships for the Fall semester. Students who apply to one of 12 select master’s degrees will be considered for a scholarship of up to $5,000 per year for the duration of their graduate study. Part-time awards are also available.
Among the programs eligible for the scholarships are Master of Science degrees in corporate learning and development, digital game design and development, environmental sustainability, library and information science, management engineering, adolescence education, interactive multimedia arts and medical biology.
At LIU Post, you will study in small classes with professors who hold doctoral degrees from elite universities – professors who care deeply about each student’s personal success. Courses are scheduled for working adults, and several programs are taught in the blended format – which combines both online and in-classroom instruction.
Eligibility for each scholarship varies. Criteria may include academic achievement, part-time or full-time status, and financial need. The awards are renewable each year as long as the student maintains his or her enrollment status and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The deadline for application for the scholarships is July 1, 2013. To apply for admission, visit www.liu.edu/onlineapp and select LIU Post. To learn more about scholarships, visit www.liu.edu/post/grad-awards1 or call 516-299-2900.
