LIU Post’s Library and Information School Achieves National Ranking in U.S. News “Best Graduate Schools” Guide

Brookville, N.Y. – The Palmer School of Library and Information Science at LIU Post has been ranked by the influential U.S. News and World Report as one of the best information schools in the country.

The Palmer School, which offers Master’s degrees, a doctorate and advanced certificates, was ranked among the best 43 schools of its kind nationwide in the U.S. News 2014 Best Graduate Schools guidebook. The ranking is based on a survey of information school deans and is widely consulted by prospective graduate students.

An integral part of the LIU Post College of Education, Information and Technology, the Palmer School offers the M.S. in Library and Information Science, the Ph.D. in Information Studies and advanced certificates in archives and records management and public library administration, as well as a specialization in rare books and special collections and numerous dual-degree programs with the NYU Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the Steinhardt’s School of Media, Culture and Communication. Courses are taught at LIU Post in Brookville, N.Y., LIU Brentwood in LIU Brentwood, N.Y. and NYU’s Bobst Library in Manhattan
