Senator Flanagan and Regents Chancellor Merryl Tisch Addresses CADEA Conference

Brookville, N.Y. -- New York State Senator John Flanagan, chair of the Senate Education Committee, and Dr. Merryl Tisch, chancellor of the New York State Board of Regents, were among the speakers at the sixth annual Collegiate Association for Developing Administrators (CADEA) conference on Friday, October 12.
“Advancing Leadership Preparation: Strengthening Connections Between NYS Reforms, Accreditation and Higher Education” was held in the Atrium at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post in Brookville from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Co-sponsored by CADEA and the College of Education, Information and Technology at LIU Post, the conference is geared toward deans, faculty members and educational leadership preparation programs across the state.
Other speakers include New York State Regent Roger Tilles; Dr. Mark LaCelle-Peterson, president of the Teacher Education Accreditation Council and future president of the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation; and Dr. Tom Rogers, district superintendent and CEO of Nassau BOCES.
