Post’s Department of Public Safety was honored by the City of Glen Cove at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 10 for providing mutual aid at a fire in Glen Cove.

In the early morning hours of February 15, 2011, C.W. Post students Matthew Aronberg and Thomas Piazza, emergency medical technicians on duty at the C.W. Post Campus, responded to the call for mutual aid at the scene of the fire. “This was just another example of emergency services - police, fire and EMS, working together to save life and property in Glen Cove," said Glen Cove Mayor Ralph Suozzi.

Paul Rapess, Director of Public Safety and Lieutenant James Contarino accepted the award on behalf of the C.W. Post Campus.
