In 1905 St. Petersburg a revolution in theatre was in the works, brewing in the minds of playwright Alexander Blok and visionary director Vsevolod Meyerhold. They conceived a play that would reflect the sights, sounds, and excitement of a fairground. Professor Rick DesRochers, PTC students Greg Cioffi, Christina Hatsis, and Tracy McClendon, and an ensemble of seven actors collaborate to reinvent this landmark theatrical extravaganza—an environmental theatre experience as seen through the work of Buster Keaton, Edgar Allen Poe, and Joseph Cornell, for a twenty-first century sensibility.
