M.S. in Educational Technology Overview
Twenty-first century educators and learners have access to resources that earlier generations could scarcely have imagined. The M.S. in Educational Technology empowers educators to harness the power of the web and cloud computing in their classrooms and schools, and to share their knowledge with colleagues – to create learning communities where each student can achieve his or her full potential.
The M.S. in Educational Technology program is taught in local school districts on Long Island and via outline coursework. Classes meet in school settings in the Herricks Union Free School District in New Hyde Park, N.Y., and the Half Hollow Hills School District in Dix Hills, N.Y. Completion of this program satisfies New York State requirements for professional certification. The M.S. in Educational Technology provides an opportunity to qualify for New York State certification (Educational Technology Specialist) that will enhance career options.
