Lisa R. Braverman, Ph.D.
Dr. Lisa R. Braverman is Associate Provost for Adult and Outreach Programs at LIU Post. She provides leadership for the Division of Adult and Non-Traditional Programs, which includes bachelor’s degree completion programs for adults, blended and online course options, accelerated summer and winter academic terms, evening college, and return-to-learning opportunities for working professionals and retirees.
Dr. Braverman possesses 25 years of progressive experience in adult and continuing higher education, serving as dean of adult programs at major colleges and universities in the New York metropolitan region, including the State University of New York, New York Institute of Technology and Pratt Institute.
She has held numerous leadership posts in professional continuing education associations, serving on the boards of both the Association of Continuing Higher Education and the University Professional Continuing Higher Education Association, where she also recently served as chair of the Commission on Leadership and Management.
Dr. Braverman is the author of two recent articles on corporate education best practices and an upcoming chapter in a book about new directions in continuing education. She is a frequent speaker on the latest topics impacting continuing education at annual conferences and professional association gatherings.
She holds a B.A. in romance languages from Brandeis University and an M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Spanish and Latin American studies from New York University.
Dr. Braverman resides on Long Island with her husband and son.
