Provost Office

Administrative responsibilities for LIU Post reside in the Provost Office. Reporting to the president of Long Island University, the Provost is responsible for the supervision of all administration programs, admissions and recruitment, student affairs, strategic planning, budget development, management of auxiliary enterprises, health and wellness services, academic and career counseling, buildings and grounds, communications, and public safety.

Dr. Paul H. Forestell is the provost and serves as the chief operating officer of LIU Post, LIU Brentwood and LIU Riverhead. As one of seven Officers of Long Island University, Dr. Forestell is a principal participant in collaborative decision-making involving University-wide policies and procedures. Dr. Forestell communicates on behalf of three University campuses with a wide variety of internal and external constituencies.

The provost has oversight of assistant and associate provosts in the areas of public relations, student success, budgetary management and auxiliary services, student affairs, admissions and recruitment, institutional effectiveness, continuing education, athletics, records and registration, international student services, facilities services and public safety.
