Evidence-based Medical Information (Ebsco)
- Provides continually updated, evidence-based clinical information about the H1N1,
seasonal, and other influenza (flu) viruses for clinicians, nurses, and patients. Includes overviews,
diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, vaccine information, questions and answers, and more from the
DynaMed, Nursing Reference Center, and Patient Education Reference Center
databases. Patient education information is presented in 17 languages.

- Serves as a time-saving portal to thousands of online and multimedia resources
relating to children's and young adult books, authors, and illustrators to support lesson
planning and author studies across all subject areas in the K-12 curriculum. Provides
access to audio and video clips of each author; book discussion guides and lesson ideas;
excerpts from books-on-tape readings; and links to the authors' and publishers' official
websites to generate enthusiasm for books and reading and to add a multimedia dimension
to reading in the classroom, library, and home.

Opportunities Database (Ebsco)
- Describes the publishing opportunities for scholars in 14,000 highly cited journals, 2,000 special
journal issues each year, and over 12,000 conference calls for papers annually. Each entry includes: the
publication or conference name, the scope of topics sought, deadlines, formatting requirements, submission
information, publication frequency, contact information, and websites.

- Summarizes and organizes all major political, social, and economic news events in the
United States and around the world from November 1940 to the present day. Includes primary
source documents, timelines, editorial cartoons, curriculum tools, and more. Updated twice weekly,
along with an hourly newsfeed.
