Residence Hall Programming
We offer a variety of programs, activities and ways to be involved within our residences hall community every day. We strongly encourage you to be an active member in the LIU Brooklyn Residence. These programs and activities are key tools used by the Residence Life team to build community within the residence halls. They help to create and strengthen the community between the residents. Through a variety of different activities, the Residence Life team strives to create an environment where all of the residents feel welcome and feel that they are an important part of their community.
Programming is also used to provide opportunities to learn about issues and topics that deal with everyday college life such as safety, alcohol & drugs, financial management, academic success, and many other topics. The purpose of these programs is to extend the student's learning and growth beyond just the classroom.
The Residence Hall is the location of many educational and social programs throughout the academic year. Programs range from personal development seminars to Halloween and 'Super Bowl' parties. All resident students are encouraged to participate in the many programs and activities that take place on a weekly basis. The Residence Hall staff is committed to providing students with quality programs that will contribute to their individual growth and development and enhance their social skills.
