LIU Brooklyn Federal Financial Aid Changes for 2012A college education is a big investment in your future - one that will pay off through increased knowledge and better career opportunities. LIU Brooklyn is committed to making a quality, private education affordable. Eighty-five percent of our students receive financial assistance to help meet college expenses. Each year, more than $175 million in scholarships and financial aid is awarded to our students. Financial aid is available in the form of scholarships, grants and loans.

Through an integrated mix of personal and online services, we have developed a system that supports our students in managing all aspects of financing their education.

Through the University’s convenient My LIU portal, you can execute the following related actions: (i) view your financial aid information and (ii) view a list of “to do” items, that reflects documents that need to be submitted and actions that need to be taken to ensure your enrollment or continued enrollment, view your student account information, make payments online, and make ISFS appointments online. Financial Aid Updates

  • The FAFSA or FAFSA Renewal Application is available each year after Jan 1st at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.
  • LIU's Federal School Code is 002751.
  • LIU's Undergraduate TAP Code is 0403.
  • Deadline for 2012-2013 Fall/Spring and Spring Only Federal Direct Student Loans is April 25, 2013.
  • Continuing student’s deadline for 2012-2013 Campus-based aid is March 15, 2012.
  • Extended Tuition Payment Plans are available.
