Orientation serves as the introduction to the LIU Brooklyn campus and some of the amazing opportunities available to you in New York City. The program will give you an overview of the opportunities and resources available to you as a student.

Orientation Leaders will serve as the first point of contact for all incoming students. These friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic upperclassmen will help to provide each new student with the ultimate orientation experience. Along with the Orientation Leaders, LIU Promise Success Coaches, our faculty, and staff will be available to ensure that all your questions are answered.

Students who do not choose to participate in the Express Drop Off Day will move-in on Tuesday, September 4th.

First-Year Service Experience Program

The First-Year Service Experience Program will run Saturday, September 1st through Monday, September 3rd. This program gives incoming LIU Brooklyn first-year students the opportunity to participate in various volunteer and community service projects prior to the start of classes. By participating in this program, students will have the opportunity to:

    • Get a jump start on their college experience by making new friends before classes start.
    • Meet and learn from seasoned upperclassmen LIU students.
    • Participate in the LIU Cares model by volunteering at local agencies throughout Downtown Brooklyn and New York City.
