Admitted Student

Welcome to LIU Brooklyn. The goal of the Office of Admissions is to make the enrollment process as easy as possible for you. This section provides checklists of things you need to do to be sure that you are ready to become a student here.

Important Information for Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students

There is still time to sign-up to attend our New Student Orientation. Click here to find out more about our remaining sessions. All new students are required to attend an orientation but if you have difficulty finding a date that will work for you be sure to contact the Office of Student Development and Retention to make alternate arrangements. You can reach the OSDR by calling 718-488-1042.

Important Information for Graduate Students

Accepted Graduate students are required to attend an in-person orientation session, either held by the Admissions Office or by specific academic departments. Some programs require students to register online. Students admitted to those programs will be contacted via e-mail with registration instructions; students will be e-mailed via the address provided on the application. Graduate Orientation is a great way for students to acclimate to the University and specifically learn about housing, financing a graduate education, and services available for our students’ success. Programs for both Graduate students, and more specifically Graduate International Students, have been designed to meet all your enrollment needs.

Visit our graduate orientation page to sign-up for either the general or the international session. Email bkln-admissionsevents@liu.edu for more information.
