All students must have an American Heart Association, Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers** before entering the professional phase of the program. A medical terminology exam will be given during the months of January, June and August. All students entering the professional phase will be given (2) opportunities to past this exam.

The following professional level courses may be taken during the pre-professional phase with approval from your advisor:

RC 101 Respiratory Care (Cardiopulmonary Physiology I)
RC 103 Clinical Application of Acid-Base Balance
RC 107 Pulmonary Function
RC 214 Cardiopulmonary Pharmacology

** CPR-BLS requires annual refresher course at no additional expense
