Multimedia Language Lab
The state-of-the-art, interactive Multimedia Language Laboratory, located on the sixth floor of the Pratt Building, enables students to work individually or collaboratively on their language skills. Each station is equipped with full-motion video, Soundblaster audio, high fidelity headsets, a 17" monitor and a quad-speed CD ROM drive, as well as conventional audio and videotape capabilities. The purpose of the Multimedia Language Laboratory is to provide a learning environment where:

Students can use a full range of interactive software

Students can test themselves on content, and comprehension on any of the items covered in class

Students can practice speaking, taping their language, playing it back, making necessary corrections and re-taping

Students can check their grammar and spelling

Students can read material and check their comprehension of vocabulary and content

Students can practice pronunciation and listening comprehension through viewing and hearing material in English

Students can use the Internet and e-mail
