Program Requirements
Program Requirements
To qualify for the associate degree in Humanities, students must complete at least 64 credits in the liberal arts and sciences with a minimum 2.0 grade-point average and satisfy the following requirements:
Proficiency Courses
- 0-6 credits of Proficiency Courses, as determined by placement examinations.
- 1 credit Orientation Seminar
Core Curriculum
- 3 credit Core Seminar 50
- 3 credit English 16
- 6 credits of English 61-64
- 6 credits of Foreign Language
- 6 credits of Philosophy 61, 62
Social Science
- 6 credits of HIS 1, 2
- 6 credits from the following courses in the Social Sciences: Anthropology 4, 5, Economics 1, 2, Political Science 11, Psychology 3, and Sociology 3.
Science/Mathematics
- 8-10 Credits of Science
- 3-4 credits of Mathematics 11, 15, or 30
Communications
- 3 credits from the following courses: Art 61, Dance 61, Music 61, or Theatre 61
- 3 credit Speech 3
Humanities Electives
- To be determined by proficiency requirements
