The Downtown Brooklyn Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic at LIU-Brooklyn provides evaluation and treatment services for people of all ages with feeding, speech, language and/or hearing difficulties. We offer a range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to monolingual and bilingual (including Spanish, Russian, Yiddish) children, adolescents and adults with communication disorders. In addition, we offer specialized treatment services including feeding therapies, PROMPT, LVST-LOUD programs, Lively Letters, accent reduction and specialized group training for individuals who have had strokes, traumatic brain injuries and others specific communication needs.
The Downtown Brooklyn Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic is a teaching clinic. Our New York State licensed & ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) work with graduate level student clinicians in the clinic to provide high quality individualized and group services to a wide range of children and adults with communication impairments. With direct supervision, graduate students enrolled in the Master of Science Degree within the Communication Sciences & Disorders Program at LIU-Brooklyn train alongside highly experienced clinicians and PhD faculty while completing the requirements for future licensure.
