Associate Professor Hatice Uzun joined the School of Business, Public Administration and Information Sciences in 2002. She holds a Ph.D. in finance from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. At the Brooklyn Campus, Professor Uzun teaches courses in corporate financial policy, financial markets and institutions, finance, financial statement analysis and security analysis.

In her research, Professor Uzun is interested in corporate finance. Her focus is on issues relating to corporate governance, especially corporate fraud. She investigates various research questions in an attempt explain reasons for such frauds.
