Description

Dr. Joanna F. Shulman has been practicing medicine for over 20 years and has been with Mount Sinai since 1998. She has served as medical director of the Ob-Gyn Associates practice at The Mount Sinai Hospital and as director of the Medical Student Clerkship in Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is a widely sought lecturer on various topics in preconceptional care, pregnancy, labor and delivery, sexual dysfunction and menopause, and serves as a consultant to the New York State Department of Health’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct. She has worked with, supervised and taught nurse practitioner, midwifery, physician assistant and medical students for over 20 years and has been a very strong advocate for physician assistants throughout her career. She has been medical director of the Brooklyn Campus’ Division of Physician Assistant Studies since 2007.
