In pursuit of a more comprehensive computer science education, Leandro Quezada transferred from NYU:Poly to LIU Brooklyn in 2011. The transition was gratifying as he was welcomed into CSTEP, a program that promised to provide educational and financial support for his academic endeavors. In his first semester, Leandro actively became involved in computer science research with the guidance of Dr. Gladys Schrynemakers. He has attended national CSTEP and AAS conferences, presenting his work to fellow students and professionals.
Leandro currently works as a software engineer for PeekAnalytics, where he is responsible for converting social media activity into marketable data. Currently, he is actively being recruited by companies such as Microsoft and Google for his well-developed skills in organizing and filtering aggregated social network data using PHP scripts and a Google Maps API.
