We welcome your interest in the Brooklyn Campus and in our Placement Examination.
The Brooklyn Campus Placement Examination in both English and Mathematics is required for all students who wish to register for classes. The exam must be taken at least 7 business days before registration.
The purpose of the Placement Examination is to determine which courses in English and mathematics will be most beneficial to you and will help you to develop and strengthen the skills you will need to succeed in your studies. Our dedicated academic advisors will meet individually with you to help you plan a schedule of courses based upon your Placement results. We are proud to offer a wide range of courses to help you build your skills and achieve your academic and career goals.
Important note about the Mathematics Placement Examination:
Part 1 and Part 2 of the Mathematics Placement Examination are required of all students, regardless of major. In addition, Part 3 is also required of students in the majors listed below.
The mission of the Brooklyn Campus is to help each individual student to grow and achieve. Our Placement Examination is part of that commitment. Remember, the results of the exam will place you into the best courses for you, courses which will help you develop the knowledge and skills to be successful in college. Also, remember that when you take the Placement Examination, you must take the English examination and Part 1 and Part 2 of the Mathematics Examination. Part 3 of the Mathematics Examination is for students in the above majors.
