All undergraduate students admitted to LIU Brooklyn are required to demonstrate basic computer skills in each of the following areas prior to graduation: (1) MS Windows, (2) MS Word, (3) Internet/e-mail skills. If you have not done it yet, you can do this by taking a walk-in examination – no appointment necessary. There is no fee for the examination.

Computer Literacy Test Summer 2017 Students
TAKE YOUR EXAM TODAY! If you have any questions, please visit the Testing Center in LLC Building, 4th floor or call us at 718-488-1392.
No appointment is needed. Please walk-in with your photo-Id and your LIU Id number. Report to the computer lab at the beginning of the hour accordingly. Allow yourself one hour to complete the test.
The exam has four sections: 1. MS Windows, 2. MS Word, 3. Internet/e-mail and 4. Information Literacy skills
A passing score of 70% is required for sections 1, 2, 3 only. As a pilot, LIU Brooklyn is also testing information literacy competencies. Scores on these questions are for informational purposes only, which will be forwarded to the Library.
