Four Key Appointments Bolster LIU Brooklyn Administration

Brooklyn, N.Y. (Aug. 7, 2014) – LIU Brooklyn is proud to announce the appointments of four key members of the administration who bring years of experience and commitment to the university.
Richard Sunday (pictured, right) has been named the dean of admissions, where he will lead development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment plan for all of LIU Brooklyn’s schools and colleges. Richard has been a member of the LIU Brooklyn administration staff since 2000, most recently serving as senior associate dean of admissions.
“I am honored and delighted to take on this important role and to continue to attract talented students to join our vibrant community. I look forward to building on the partnerships I have developed with my university colleagues as we promote the value of an LIU education to even wider audiences,” said Richard.
George Terry (pictured, left) will take on the role of senior associate dean of admissions, where he will manage recruitment for undergraduate and graduate student markets. Previously, George served as the associate dean of admissions for the university for eight years.
On the athletic front, Brad Cohen has assumed the role of interim athletic director. Brad will oversee all operations of the athletics department. Brad has worked for the university on a full-time basis for 20 years, most recently as the executive director of campus services and human resources.
Paul Bamonte, who will be joining the university’s enrollment services leadership team, previously served as the director of enrollment services for the State University of New York Maritime College in the Bronx, N.Y.
“With years of excellent service, we are confident these leaders will continue to contribute to the success of LIU Brooklyn,” said Gale Haynes, vice president, chief operating officer, and legal counsel for LIU.
