The LIU community is invited to attend the Tech All-Stars Panel, the keynote event at the first-ever Tech Triangle U, an exciting week of events focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, organized by the Brooklyn Tech Triangle Coalition and downtown Brooklyn’s colleges and universities.
The Tech All-Stars Panel will take place on April 23 at 10 a.m. at the National Grid Auditorium (1 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, N.Y.). CEOs of major Brooklyn-based technology companies will be participating in the panel, which will explore the topic of innovation in the Brooklyn Tech Triangle, and what colleges can do to keep up. The panel will include Chad Dickerson, CEO of Etsy, Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of reddit and author of Without Their Permission, Bre Pettis, CEO of MakerBot, and Aaron Shapiro, CEO of HUGE. The host of WNYC’s New Tech City, Manoush Zomorodi, will be the moderator of the panel discussion.
LIU Brooklyn is participating in the week of events that will include networking, lectures, workshops, and tours of many tech companies in the district. “The Tech All-Stars Panel will offer students great insight into what innovative, startup companies are doing locally,” said Ryan Attard, director of entrepreneurship at LIU. “Students can hear directly from CEOs of successful startups on what they can do now to keep up with innovation in the Brooklyn Tech Triangle.”
Students from all campuses are welcome and encouraged to attend the events, all of which are free and open to the public. Transportation will be provided for some events from the LIU Post campus.
