Colloquy Collective and The Black Box at Kumble Theater present: Stop Kiss

LIU Brooklyn Interprofessional Student Event April 10, 2014

04/11/2014 - 04/13/2014, STOP KISS - April 11Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts, LIU Brooklyn, 7:30 - 2:00 PM

Set in present day New York City, STOP KISS by Diana Son directed by Courtney Harge tells the story of two young women (Sara and Callie) living positive, unexamined, lives. The two meet and unexpectedly fall in love, their first kiss, late at night in the West Village, provokes a violent attack that leaves Sara in a coma and Callie struggling to define herself and her choices. By placing this work in the context of NY’s African Diasporic communities (in contrast to color-blind previous casts), COLLOQUY COLLECTIVE will assert the power of contemporary theater to present intersecting viewpoints.
