RED PUMP PROJECT- LIU Brooklyn Campaign Table
03/04/2013, LIU Brooklyn Event - Red Pump Project - March 4Metcalfe Lobby, LIU Brooklyn, 12:00 - 2:30 PM
March 10, 2013 is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD). The day encourages people to take action in the fight against HIV/AIDS and raise awareness of its impact on women and girls. LIU Brooklyn will be starting our Red Pump Project and we are asking all LIU Brooklyn women to be a part of this impactful campaign. We will “Paint Brooklyn Red” as we distribute information to nearby schools and programs regarding the HIV/AIDS epidemic that affects women all over the country. On the last day of the Red Pump Project, we will all put on our red pumps and march to the Barclays Center where we will release balloons in remembrance of women who lost the fight against HIV/AIDS. To join the team, sign up at the campaign table on March 4, 2013.
