HIV/AIDS in Botswana: Surprising Successes in Southern Africa

Today about 25% of adults in Botswana are HIV positive. Yet contrary to what one might expect and in contrast to the catastrophic public health failures in neighboring South Africa, the public health campaign against AIDS in Botswana has achieved significant successes.

Come join us for Prof. Hendrickson’s presentation on what she learned from health professionals, academics and government officials last June while attending a 10-day intensive seminar entitled “Turmoil and Tenacity: The Progress of Public Health in Botswana.”
