LIU Brentwood will host an Open House and Enrollment Services Days during the last two weeks of August, offering prospective students the opportunity to visit the university’s new location at Suffolk County Community College’s Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood, New York, and learn about academic programs and apply for the Fall semester.
LIU Brentwood – one of six campuses of Long Island University, one of the largest and most comprehensive private universities in the nation – will hold Open House on Tuesday, August 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Sagtikos Arts & Science Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour campus facilities, meet with faculty and admissions counselors and learn about undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
In addition, prospective students can attend Enrollment Services Days – to apply for admission, be accepted if eligible (bring transcripts), and register for classes in one day. Enrollment Services Days will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, August 19-22 and August 26-29 in Room 120A of the Sally Ann Slacke Center.
LIU Brentwood relocated on August 19, 2013 from its previous location at 100 Second Avenue in Brentwood to the Michael J. Grant Campus of Suffolk County Community College, 1001 Crooked Hill Road, Brentwood.
LIU Brentwood offers accredited degree programs in childhood education, special education and literacy, school counseling, clinical mental health counseling, criminal justice, nursing and library and information science.
Classes begin on September 4 at two state-of-the-art buildings at the Michael J. Grant Campus of SCCC: Sally Ann Slacke Center and Health, Sports and Education Center.
Modeled on the highly successful public/private partnership that brought LIU Riverhead to the SCCC Eastern campus in 2006, LIU Brentwood’s new location at the SCCC Grant Campus will afford students state-of-the-art facilities, streamlined transfer for SCCC alumni and a location convenient to all of central Suffolk County. LIU will open a new, 24,000-square-foot building on the Grant Campus in 2014. The new building will be the home of all LIU Brentwood classes and offices.
