Office of Sponsored Research
Located at University Center, the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) reports to the vice president for academic affairs and is responsible for pre-award, grants management and compliance requirements of externally funded projects.
Pre-award responsibilities include assistance with proposal preparation, review, endorsement and submission; contract review; and authorization of restricted accounts. Once an award is accepted by the University, OSR assists project directors/principal investigators with project management by monitoring financial activity according to sponsor terms and conditions. Guidance is provided on a wide variety of financial transactions and accounting services. OSR also provides administrative and regulatory support for the federally mandated committees that review research involving human subjects. The Office assists the vice president of academic affairs with the coordination of any investigation involving non-compliance or allegations of misconduct.
