LIU Pharmacy professor Robert DiGregorio Inducted into the National Academies of Practice

LIU Pharmacy professor Robert DiGregorio has been inducted into the National Academies of Practice (NAP). The induction took place on April 9 at the group’s gala membership banquet in Baltimore.
NAP is an interdisciplinary, nonprofit organization of health care professionals willing to serve as distinguished advisors to health care policy makers in Congress and elsewhere. NAP’s membership represents 14 health care professions, including medicine, nursing, pharmacy, psychology, and speech-language pathology.
Dr. DiGregorio is a full professor of Pharmacy Practice at LIU Pharmacy, and also serves as senior director of pharmacotherapy services at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. He has more than 24 years of experience as a pharmacist, spanning clinical research, pediatrics, emergency medicine, ambulatory care and disaster management, among other settings. Dr. DiGregorio is co-founder of the New York City Regional Pharmacy Residency Congress, which has been held annually at LIU since 2006, and his research has been published such journals as Pharmacotherapy, the Journal of Pharmacy Practice, The Pharmacist, and the Journal of Oral Implantology.
The Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was founded in 1886 as New York’s first college of pharmacy.
