PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Feb. 21, 2016) - On Sunday, the LIU Post women's swimming team captured its fourth-straight Metropolitan Conference Championship, amassing 1,116 points at the three-day meet at the Rutgers University Aquatic Center.

Seniors Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom) and Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) and freshman Caitlin Johnstone (Ashburton, New Zealand) all won their respective events and recorded an NCAA "B" cut in the process.

In the 200-yard backstroke, Jones clocked a lifetime-best 2:02.84. Meanwhile, freshmen Karis Fuller (London, England), who won the preliminary race in 2:05.03, and Elin Kvarnemar (Varberg, Sweden) individually posted fifth- and eighth-place marks of 2:06.48 and 2:11.58.

Kwok took top honors in the 200-fly, touching the pad at 2:00.42. Johnstone won the 200-yard breaststroke in an NCAA-provisional 2:22.19, which was also good for a personal record.

Senior Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) and sophomore Laura Bendfeldt (Grosshansdorf, Germany) swam to individual second- and third-place showings in the 100-free with NCAA provisional times of 50.99 and 51.58.

In the meet's final event, the group of Bendfeldt, Jones, Kwok and Brazier completed the 400-yard freestyle relay in a first-place clocking and NCAA "B" cut of 3:25.22.
