For the second consecutive year, LIU Brooklyn Physician Assistant (PA) Studies graduates have achieved a 100% first time pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE). According to the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), which administers the boards, the pass rate nationally for first-time test takers averaged 96% in 2015 and 95% in 2014.

The success of the PA Class of 2015 reflects the hard work and dedication of faculty, staff, and students in the Division of Physician Assistant Studies. “The faculty and staff of the PA Program are very proud of the accomplishments of the students in the classes of 2014 and 2015. We look forward to continued excellent outcomes,” said Sharon Verity, director and assistant professor, Division of Physician Assistant Studies.

In addition to outstanding PANCE pass rates, PA students embody LIU’s commitment to the power of service through volunteerism and community engagement. The PA Class of 2015 led the nation in a service-based fundraising campaign organized by the PA Foundation. PA students also gave of their time, energy, and talents through participating in walks for juvenile diabetes and breast cancer, rebuilding houses for Tropical Storm Sandy victims, and holding numerous successful food drives in support of City Harvest.
