Brookville, NY – Long Island University is one of only four institutions in the State of New York to be awarded a four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under its revamped Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS) program. The graduate programs in speech-language pathology at LIU Post and LIU Brooklyn were selected for participation based on under-represented minority enrollment and primary-care career placement into medically underserved communities.
This new program can provide up to $15,000 per academic year to qualified full-time students and is renewable if funds are available and program criteria are met. For information about the program’s eligibility requirements and the application process, students should visit the Office of Student Financial Services on their campus or www.liu.edu/SDS, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
All eligible applicants must fill out the online application and submit it with all required supporting documentation to the University at the address specified by February 28, 2013.
