Communications and Marketing
The Communications and Marketing Department, a unit of University Relations, is located in the Mary Lai Finance building at University Center. The Department functions as the University’s in-house advertising and marketing agency and produces a wide range of publications; advertising, direct and e-marketing campaigns; and audio-visual and Web-related projects that promote all of the University's academic and administrative programs.
The staff is comprised of a diverse group of professionals that include marketing researchers, designers, writers, production and desktop publishing specialists, Web developers and media buyers, whose purpose it is to assist University clients in promoting their programs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
From developing marketing strategies and campaigns; to writing and editing copy for publications, advertising and presentation materials; to designing for print, creating online marketing materials, writing and deploying Web content, and planning and negotiating media buys, the Department is dedicated to providing the highest quality service.
Because of the high volume of projects the Department produces, it is able to take advantage of large printing and advertising discounts. Use of this in-house agency ensures quality of design and production, effectiveness of strategy and consistency of marketing message points and visual identity.
The promotional arm of University Relations also falls under University Public Relations, which handles all media inquiries, promotions and crisis management for University Center.
