B.F.A. in Art Education "B-12" - 137 credits
The Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Art Education prepares students for New York State Education Department provisional certification in the teaching of art in elementary and secondary schools. In addition to the college core requirements, all B.F.A. degree Art Education majors are required to complete Art 2, 3, 4, 11 or 12, 13, 19, 21, 31, 35, 59, 60; nine credits of Art Education and nine credits of Art History which must be either Art 70 or 72. Twenty-seven credits in designated Education courses are required. B.F.A. degree students work towards a senior exhibition as the culmination of a forty-five studio art credit program.
